Ohio Genealogical Society Projects

Bible Records
Please send photocopies of the title and family pages of any Bible for insertion in this indexed collection. The Society will photocopy Bibles brought in person at no charge for addition to this collection.

Ancestor Cards/Charts/Family Group Records
Members are encouraged to submit 3" x 5" ancestor cards along with a 5-generation ancestor chart and family group records. When two cards are found to have the same name, the new member will be notified of the match. Please send a self addressed stamped envelope for a brochure.

Church Records Survey
The Society is surveying all church records in Ohio to aid in locating extant materials for genealogical research.

Ohio Cemeteries
The Society has attempted to identify all Ohio cemeteries, encourages Chapters to publish transcriptions, and offers advice on cemetery law and preservation methods.

Tax Indexing Project
The Ohio Genealogical Society has partnered with FamilySearch to create an index of early Ohio tax records. Click here for more information about this exciting project or to volunteer!
