Genealogical Librarians' Seminar

An educational gathering for professionals who work in the genealogy and local history field in Ohio’s libraries.

Online Resources for Finding Family History Introducing HeritageQuest, Google Books, BYU’s Family History Archive, and WorldCat.org to find digitized full text copies of family, county and community histories.
11:00am Lauren K. Landis (Manager, Genealogy Division, Stark Co District Library)
How to Enhance Collections with No Money This year especially, it will be important to learn how to best serve patrons in your local history/genealogy room with much less support from normal funding sources.

Taking the Fear out of Technology: Blogs, Podcasts & other Forms of Communication Have you used social networking sites or podcasting to promote your library events? This new technology is generally free, easy to use, and may reach new groups of users.
