Ohio Genealogy News is published quarterly and is a benefit of OGS membership. It features notices about OGS and its Chapters, news of interest to genealogists, and articles about Ohio resources.

OGN won first place in the 2004 National Genealogical Society's newsletter competition.

Article Submissions
Articles for publication in OGS Genealogy News are welcomed from OGS members and others interested in Ohio family history research. OGN publishes articles concerning genealogical record groups, collections, research techniques, databases and websites related to Ohio genealogy and history, as well as articles about OGS, its Chapters and other genealogical news.

Proposed articles may be sent to OGS in care of the Co-Editors at 713 S. Main St., Mansfield, Ohio 44907 or electronically to ogn@ogs.org. Acceptable formats include Microsoft Word and Publisher. The Co-Editors reserve the right to accept or reject any submitted article and to make changes in punctuation and grammar in articles accepted for publication.

Articles submitted electronically should not contain any formats, such as tabs or indents, or any embedded objects or images. Images, such as clip art or photographs, should be sent as separate files or attachments. Photos pertaining to Ohio may be submitted for cover consideration. Acceptable formats for images include JPEG, GIF, and TIFF.

Advertising
Ads can be typed in Microsoft Word. Word files should not contain any formats, such as tabs or indents, or any embedded objects or images.

Ads must be created for the PC in Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Publisher. Please provide a paper proof with file.

Graphic and font files must be included separately with the ad. Graphics should be set to greyscale in TIF, EPS, or JPEG format.

Ads may be sent either on a CD or as an e-mail attachment to ogn@ogs.org. Ads submitted which do not meet layout specifications may be charged a typesetting fee. Mail your payment, proof-print and file to: OGS, 713 S. Main St., Mansfield, OH 44907-1644. OGS accepts checks, money orders, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
